Settlements Won for Our Clients
The following are some of the notable verdicts and settlements Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., have obtained for our clients:
Settlement for a client who sustained a concussion and sprained wrist, as well as knee, spine and shoulder injuries following a collision involving two 18-wheelers. Our client was riding in the sleeper cab of an 18-wheeler when another 18-wheeler ran a red light and caused a collision. The impact was so intense that our client was thrown around the inside of the sleeper cab, leading to injuries which required physical therapy, steroid injections, and eventual neck and hand surgeries.
Settlement for a client who sustained broken arms, fractured ribs, fractured vertebrae and a bruised lung following a collision where another driver failed to yield to the right of way and struck our client’s motorcycle.
Settlement for a client who sustained near-fatal injuries after being ejected from a vehicle following a collision. Our attorneys proved the driver of an 18-wheeler illegally parked his trailer on a two-lane roadway and failed to follow federal motor carrier safety protocols which required him to place warning triangles in the roadway. As a result of the truck driver’s negligent actions, our client could not see the trailer stopped in the roadway and hit the trailer full-force. A portion of the truck pierced the cab of our client’s vehicle, then the vehicle flipped across the roadway causing extensive injuries before our client—who had been wearing a seatbelt—was ultimately ejected from the vehicle.
Settlement for a competitive bicyclist who sustained a fractured pelvis and severe, deep flesh wounds and abrasions after a motor vehicle collision. A motor vehicle hit our client’s bicycle from behind and our client was thrown in the air landing several feet from the bicycle.
Settlement for a client who sustained life-threatening injuries after being ejected from a vehicle being operated by a drunk driver.
Settlement for a client who sustained a dislocated shoulder, fractured bones, and torn ligaments requiring surgery after a fall at an animal hospital. Our attorneys proved the facility was negligent when it failed to provide a premises free of hazards or hazard warnings to prevent injury to customers.
