To the partners of our firm, Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley are much more than just the city and region where our practice is located. It is an area with which we have deep ties. All of our lawyers were born and raised in the Tennessee Valley, and Huntsville is the city we all call home.

As lawyers, we have a chance to make a difference in the lives of others. This means, in part, helping those who are injured and facing legal problems, but it also means helping people who never set foot in our office. A community is great only when everybody can fulfill their dreams. Our success is a blessing, and we look for opportunities to pay it forward.

We are dedicated to serving the people of this community and making it a better place to live. Morris, King, and Hodge is a different kind of personal injury law firm.

Below you will find information about charitable events and community activities that Morris, King, & Hodge, P.C., is party to. If you believe our lawyers can be of service to Alabamians in any other way, please let us know about it.

MKH Scholarships
Texting and driving poses a safety hazard for drivers in Alabama and across the United States. Morris, King, & Hodge, P.C. established the Driver Safety Scholarship essay contest to provide three scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors and rising college freshmen who craft creative public service announcements discussing the dangers of texting and driving. We are committed to making our state a safer place to live and raise families.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Distracted Driving Program focuses on educating young people of Madison County about the dangers of operating a car or truck while distracted. Our attorneys at Morris, King, & Hodge, P.C. understand the devastation that a distracted driving accident can cause. We are proud to sponsor this safety course, which is taught at all high schools in the Madison County School District during the summer months.

Many New Year’s Eve parties and celebrations include alcohol, and some end in preventable tragedies involving drunk drivers. Morris, King, & Hodge, P.C. established the Driver Safety Taxi and Tow Service to prevent New Year’s accidents related to alcohol. We pick up the entire tab to tow home cars for motorists who have had too much to drink on New Year’s Eve and should not drive. Our aim is to reduce the chances of a drunk driving or impaired driving accident on New Year’s Eve by providing a way for you and your vehicle to get home safely.

The non-profit National Children’s Advocacy Center provides training, prevention and treatment services to fight child abuse and neglect. We are honored to help the National Children’s Advocacy Center’s worthwhile work by sponsoring the NCAC’s fundraising event—the Superhero’s 5K/1M and Fun Run.
WHNT
For over ten years, Morris, King, & Hodge P.C. has partnered with WHNT on various projects and community programs. Most recently, we sponsored a public service television special, called the Distracted Driving Project, focusing on distracted driving in Alabama to raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving. The special aired on WHNT in early 2016. If you missed this special presentation, you can watch it here.
MADD’S Victim Help Line
Call Icon
Over one-third of all traffic deaths in Alabama are related to DUIs. Every year, Morris, King, & Hodge represents families whose lives have been turned upside down by drunk driving. That’s why MADD has created a 24-hour helpline to help victims and survivors of drunk driving. Our firm sponsors television ads to inform the community about the MADD HelpLine, which helps put the victims of drunk driving in touch with MADD ‘s victim support advocates. We strongly support MADD’s goal of “No More Victims” when it comes to alcohol-related traffic fatalities. Follow the link to learn what you can do to help make that dream a reality.

In the past, proceeds have gone toward the SPACES Sculpture Trail and Downtown Summer Fest, among other projects. Each year, our firm proudly sponsors a tree on the Tinsel Trail to honor the year’s inductees into the Madison County Military Heritage Commission Hall of Heroes.
